To calculate the slope of a line we require any two points along the line.

Explanation:

suppose two points are given that is (x1,y1) (x2, y2) . The equation of a line is y-y1=m(x-x1) , where m is referred to as the slope of the line .

To find m,

m= y2-y1/x2-x1 . Hence this way of finding slope is known as point- slope form. Another form is there known as slope- intercept form

y=mx+c.

But to find a slope , minimum amount of information that we require is points along the line.
