UT = 31.5

To find:

The measure of US.

Solution:

In the figure, WV bisects UT.

⇒ US = ST -------------- (1)

UT = US + ST

31.6 = US + US (using (1))

31.6 = 2 US

Divide by 2 on both sides.


$(31.6)/(2) =(2US)/(2)


15.8=US

The measure of US is 15.8.
