= 130/10

= 13 years.

2. The median is the mean of the middle 2 numbers in the list:

= (12 + 13) / 2

= 12.5 years.

1. Add the total ages up and divide that by the number of volunteers, that gives you 130 as the total ages added up and 10 volunteers, which gives you a mean of 13,
2. When the numbers are put in an ascending order 12 and 13 appear to be the middle two, therefore divide the sum of the two to find the median, which is 12.5.
