5 m/s. What is the acceleration of the walker?

Explanation:

The walking has an initial velocity of 0m/s.

After 6 seconds he is now traveling at 5m/s.

So we use the equation:


v = u + at

where u=0 m/s is the initial velocity, v=5m/s is the final velocity, and t=6 seconds is the time.

We substitute to get:


5 = 0 + 6a


6a = 5


a = (5)/(6)


a = 0.83 {ms}^( - 2)
