In a right triangle, the length of one leg is 7 ft. The length of the other leg is 10 ft. What is the length of the hypotenuse?

We can solve for the hypotenuse using the Pythagorean theorem: a² + b² = c²

7² + 10² = c²

49 + 100 = c²

149 = c²

√149 = √c²

12.2065... = c

Round to the nearest hundredth.

12.2065... → 12.21

The hypotenuse of the triangle is approximately 12.21 feet.
