using SOH CAH TOA

sineФ = opposite/ hypoteneus

sin32° = opposite/ 15cm

using cross multiplication

opposite side = sine32 x 15cm

opposite side = 0.551 x 15cm

opposite side = 8.27cm

to find the other side of the triangle using pythagoras theorem

hypotheneus ² = opposite² + adjacent²

15² = 8.27² + adjacent ²

collect the like terms

15² - 8.27² = adjacent ²

225 - 68.42 = adjacent²

156.58 = adjacent²

squaring both sides

adjacent = √ 156.58

adjacent = 12.5cm
