Answer:

1542 millimeters or 15.42.42 centimeters

Explanation:

The initial length being 2m converted to millimeters will mean we multiply by 1000 since

1m=1000mm

Therefore, 2m will be 2*1000=2000 mm

Part used was 458mm hence to get the remaining part we get the difference as follows

2000 mm -458 mm=1542 mm

Therefore, the length that can be used now is 1542 mm or 15.42 cm
