Hello there,

The following equation is given to us:

  • x + 2y = 4

Now to start we have to start by writing the equation in slope intercept form. To start we subtract x from both sides:

  • 2y = -x + 4

Then we divide both sides by 2:

  • y =
    -(1)/(2) x + 2

Now that the equation is in slope-intercept form we can determine that the y-intercept would be 2.

Hope I helped,

Amna

Answer:

The y intercept is (0,2)

Explanation:

To find the y intercept, set x =0 and solve for y

x + 2y = 4

0+2y = 4

Divide each side by 2

2y/2 = 4/2

y =2

The y intercept is (0,2)
