The circumference of a circle is 50.24 feet. What is the diameter of the circle? (To find the diameter, multiply the radius by 2)

The answer I got was 25.12 can you please tell me if I'm right, if I'm wrong please tell me the correct answer

Answer:

If the circumference is 50.24, the radius must be
r = (50.24)/(2\pi r)

, because the circumference is always equal to
2\pi r

So,
r= (50.24)/(2\pi r) =8.0cm

Since the area is,


a = {\pi r}^(2)

we obtain,


a = \pi( {8}^(2))


= 201 \: {cm}^(2)
