I am Roger from Colombia. My wife and I have two beautiful young sons but they are quite mischievous. Sometimes, to try to help them cooperate with us, we tell them that a bad cloaked person will come for them unless they behave. This is like the idea of the Boogeyman in the Unites States. It doesn't always work though! Based on the information in the text, and what you learned and read from the course, what cultural practice is this text referring to?

Answer:

The answer is coco

Step-by-step explanation:

The Coco (also known as the Cuco, Coca, Cuca, Cucuy, Cucu or Cucuí) is a mythical ghost-monster, equivalent to the bogeyman, found in many Hispanophone and Lusophone countries. It can also be considered an Iberian version of a bugbear,[1] as it is a commonly used figure of speech representing an irrational or exaggerated fear. The Coco is a male being while Cuca is a female version of the mythical monster.
