Spongebob can spend no more than $150 while buying fry-cooking supplies for the Krusty

Krab. He has already spent $80.35 on the new Spatula-5000, but he still needs pickles for the
Krabby Pattys (you can't forget the pickles!!!). Each jar of pickles costs $1.99. Which of the
following inequalities could be used to solve for x, the number of jars of pickles Spongebob
can buy with the money he has left?

Let x = the number of pickle jars

150 ≤ 80.35 + 1.99x

Subtract 80.35 from each side

69.65 ≤ 1.99x

Divide each side by 1.99

35 ≤ x

He can buy 35 or less pickle jars with the money he has left
