2. The bottom of a ramp is placed 15 feet from the edge of a stage

platform. The ramp is 3 feet off the ground when it is 10 feet from

the edge of the stage.

Here, AC = 15 ft. and ED = 5 ft. while AE = 10 ft.

Then, EC = (15 - 10) = 5 ft.

Now, considering the right triangle Δ EDC, if
\theta is the inclination of the ramp, then
\tan \theta = (ED)/(EC) = (5)/(5) = 1

Hence,
\theta = 45 ^(\circ)

Therefore, the slope of the ramp is 1. (Answer)
