Answer:

1,121.5cm of fabrics is needed more

Explanation:

In this question, we are asked to calculate the amount of more fabric needed by Mrs Albright if she already has an amount of fabric.

This is a question of units. We know she needs 11.5 meters of fabrics. What to do here to proceed with the question is convert this amount to centimeters. After wards, to get the amount of fabrics needed, we simply subtract what she has from what is needed

Mathematically, 100cm = 1m , this means that 11.5m will be = 100 * 11.5 = 1150cm.

From the question, we identify that she already has 28.5cm of fabrics.

The amount of fabrics she needed more will thus be 1150 - 28.5 = 1121.5 meters of fabrics

Answer: 1121.5 centimeters

Explanation:

Mrs Albright needs 11.5 metres fabric for her customes.

Mrs Albright has 28.5 centimeters of fabric.

The first thing to do is to change 11.5 metres to centimeters. Since 100 centimeters makes 1 meter,

11.5metres = 11.5 × 100 = 1150 centimeters

Then we subtract 28.5 centimeters from 1150 centimeters.

1150 - 28.5 = 1121.5 centimeters

Mrs Albright needs 1121.5 centimeters of fabric more
