In a class of 30 students, 19 are studying French (F), 12 are studying Spanish (S) and 7 are studying both French and Spanish. How many students are not taking any foreign languages? What is the P(FunionS)' ? Reduce the ratio for your final answer I need a Fraction

Answer:

The number of students not taking any foreign language = 6

P (F U S) = 24

Explanation:

The total number of students in the class = 30

The number of students studying French (A) = 19

The number of students studying Spanish (B) = 12

The students studying both languages (A ∩ B) = 7

Students studying at least one of the language (A U B) = 19 + 12 - 7

= 24

Students taking neither of the foreign language = 30 - 24 = 6
