Arithmetic Sequence

The value of the 24th term of this arithmetic series is 47

Explanation:

Given that the first term of the arithmetic sequence = a1 = 1

and the common difference of the Arithmetic Sequence = d = 2

The nth term an of the arithmetic sequence is given as

an = a1 + (n-1)d

So in order to find the 24th term of this arithmetic sequence

n = 24

⇒ a24 = 1 + (24-1) × 2

⇒ a24 = 1 + 46

⇒ a24 = 47

Hence, the value of the 24th term of this arithmetic series is 47
