Step-by-step explanations:

Hi there! I'm glad I was able to help you out again!

Question 1: We are given that
x + 10 = 5

All we have to do to solve for the unknown variable is subtract 10 from both sides of the equation, to keep things in place.

x + 10 - 10\\= 5 - 10\\x = -5

We are now left with the fact that
x = -5, but just in case you are skeptical about this answer, we can always plug in our new values to the equation by replacing the variable with our answer:

-5 + 10 = 5

Question 2: We are given that
x-3=6

To solve for x on this one, all we have to do is add 3 to both sides of the equation, in order to keep things neat and clean.

x - 3 + 3\\= 6 + 3\\x = 9

Like before, in case you're confused and would like to check your answer, all you have to do is rewrite the equation as shown:

9 - 3 = 6

You can always use a calculator if you're stuck!

I hope this helped you! :)

Answer:

x=-5 and x=9

Explanation:

For the first equation subtract 10 from both sides and it gives you x=-5 because 5-10 is -5. The second equation you add 3 to both sides because it was originally subtracting and the inverse operation of that is adding so you get x=9 because 6+3=9.

Hope it helped!!
