Richard & Natasha share a lottery win of £5650 in the ratio 4 : 1. Richard then shares his part between himself, his wife & their son in the ratio 6 : 3 : 1. How much more does his wife get over their son?

So the prize amount Richard got =
(4* 5650)/((4+1))

= £4520

Now Richard shared his part with his wife and son in the ratio of 6 : 3 : 1.

So the amount his wife got = £
4520* (3)/((6+3+1))

= £1356

And amount shared by his son =£
4520* (1)/((6+3+1))

= £452

Difference in the amount shared by his wife and son = £1356 - £452

= £904
