1/x(x-2) + 1/x = 5/x(x-2)

Let's clear the fractions by multiplying both sides by x(x-2)

1 + (x-2) = 5

x = 6

Check

1/(6(6-2))+1/6 = 5/24

5/(x(x-2)) =5/(6(4))= 5/24, good

Answer: x=6
