Answer:

-7, -9

Explanation:

Assume Equation;

X² - SX + P =0

Where S= sum and P= product.

From question S=-16 and P=63

Equation then becomes;

X²-(-16)+63=0

X²+16+63=0

Using Factorisation method,

X²+7X+9X+63=0

Factorising,

(X²+7X) +(9X+63)=0

Taking common terms,

X(X+7)+9(X+7) =0

(X+9) and (X+7)

X+9=0 and

X+7=0

Therefore ;

X=-9 and X= -7
