Answer:

The answer to your question is No, the product is not the same.

Explanation:

Product 1

(2x - 4)(3x² - x + 4) = 6x³ - 2x² + 8x - 12x² + 4x - 16

Simplify = 6x³ - 14x² + 12x - 16

Product 2

(4x - 2)(3x² - x + 4) = 12x³ - 4x² + 16x - 6x² + 2x - 8

Simplify = 12x³ - 10x² + 18x - 8

The result is not the same because we are multiplying by different terms (2x - 4) is totally different from (4x - 2) they are different factors and the result will be different.

If we have applied the commutative property the results will be the same, but we did not.
