Answer: (-12, -8)

Explanation:

substitute x into y

y = 1x + 4 = x + 4

2y + 4 = x

y = (2y + 4) + 4

y = 2y + 8

y - 8= 2y + 8 -8

y - 8 = 2y

y - 8 - y = 2y - y

-8 = y

plug y into x and solve

2y + 4 = x

2(-8) + 4 = x

x = -12

the point is (x,y)

they intersect at (-12, -8)
