"Food" played a major role in the decisions that led up to the war because, certain items such as food were very rare because of the depression, and some countries had more food than others.

The Europeans got different types of spices from Asia. And the people took food that wouldn’t go rotten or they wouldn’t need to refrigerate. Like canned beans, meat, ect. They couldn’t take milk or Cheese.
