The Senate of Rome was urging to have a lot more power, but while they were fighting over the power, Augustus Caesar hopped on the throne and claimed himself as the new ruler for life. Rome was ruled by practically anyone, it couldn’t rule itself. So, two brave men worked extremely hard to get Rome back on its feet and succeeded. See, Rome used to be a republic, but due to people fighting over land left and right the throne was taken, and eventually turned into an empire.
