Two angles are supplementary angles if the sum of their measures is 180 degrees. Find the measures of two supplementary angles if the measure of one angle is 3 degrees less than twice the other.

Answer:

60 degrees and 119 degrees

if the smaller angle is x, then

x + 2x - 3 = 180

3x -3 + 3 = 180 + 3

3x/3 = 183/3

x=61

2(61) - 3 = 119
