Bob knew that he was standing 50 feet from the base of a flag pole and was looking up at a 25° angle. How tall the flag pole?

Perpendicular we need(Let it be P

  • Base=B=50ft

So

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow tan\theta=(Perpendicular)/(Base)

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow tan25=(P)/(50)

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow P=50tan25

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow P=23.31ft
