Answers:

Area = 254.34 square feet

Circumference = 56.52 feet

=========================================================

Work Shown:

Area = pi*(radius)^2

A = pi*r^2

A = 3.14*9^2

A = 254.34 square feet

----------------

Circumference = 2*pi*(radius)

C = 2*pi*r

C = 2*3.14*9

C = 56.52 feet

The two results are approximate since pi = 3.14 is approximate.

1st area of circle:

\bold{\ area \ of \ circle \ : \pi r^2}

\hookrightarrow \sf (3.14)(9)^2

\hookrightarrow \sf 254.34 \ ft^2

2nd circumference of circle:

\bold{circumference \ of \ circle \ : \ 2\pi r}

\hookrightarrow \sf 2(3.14)(9)

\hookrightarrow \sf 56.52 \ ft

  • area of circle = 254.34 ft²
  • circumference of a circle = 56.52 ft
