Answer:

b) Mrs. Barnes

Explanation:

Mrs. Barnes ratio is 9:4

Mr Yen ratio is 7:3

You find the common multiple of 7 and 9 which is 63

Mrs Barnes 9:4 (from 9 to 63, you multiply it by 7) so you do 4 times 7 which is 28.

Mrs Barnes new ratio is 63:28

Mr Yen 7:3 (from 7 to 63, you times 7 by 9) so you do 3 times 9 which is 27.

Mr Yen's new ratio is 63:27.

Compare the new ratios and as you can see, Mrs Barnes has a higher number of lilacs so her garden has a higher lilac to rose ratio
