Can someone please help me with this math question?

the equation is x/a = b/c - 1 (You're suppose to solve for x)
The correct answer is suppose to be ab - ac/ c
but i don't know how you get it D:

Answer:

x = (ab - ac )/c

Explanation:

x/a = b/c - 1 Multiply through by ac:

cx = ab - ac Divide both sides by c:

x = (ab - ac )/c.
