I need help on a math question! Please help..

the equation is x/5 + x/a = c [ You have to solve for x ]
The correct answer is suppose to be 5ac/a + 5
but i'm not sure how you get it >_<

Answer:

x = 5ac/(a + 5).

Explanation:

x/5 + x/a = c

Multiply each term by 5a ( to remove the fractions):

(x*5a) / 5 + (x*5a).a = c*5a

ax + 5x = 5ac Now factor the left side:

x(a + 5) = 5ac Divide both sides by (a + 5):

x = 5ac/(a + 5).
