In general, people with intellectual disability have an IQ below 70, but clinical discretion may be necessary for individuals who have a somewhat higher IQ but severe impairment in adaptive functioning. It is formally diagnosed by an assessment of IQ and adaptive behavior.

Answer: An intelligent quotient (IQ) of 65(generally anything below 70) would support a diagnosis of intellectual disability.

Intellectual disability refers toa developmental disability in which the person has a very low intelligence quotient, usually defined specifically as an IQ below 70 and/or severely below average ability to reason and to develop basic living skills.

Intellectual disability is tested by an intelligence quotient test and the symptoms include difficulty in understanding and thinking.
