Explanation:

In this case, that means that if 3, x-4, or 2x-3 is equal to 0 then they are a solution (the whole expression equal 0).

For the first: 3 can never be equal to 0

2nd: x-4=0 ⇒ (add 4) x=4

3rd: 2x-3=0 ⇒ (add 3) 2x=3 ⇒ (divide by 2) x=3/2

Therefore:

The possible solutions are 4 and 3/2
