Answer:

See below:

Step-by-step explanation:

The expression "the big fish in a little pond" refers to a situation where someone is important, well known, or stands out,(the big fish), but only in his or her surroundings, like at work, school, or in a certain country or area(the little pond). For example, if someone is popular, has lots of friends, and is the talk of the school, but when seen in other public areas is juist like everyone else and possesses no significant difference from everyone else, that person is a big fish, but just in the terms of their little pond. Other examples include:

-singers that are famous and rich, but only in their respective categories. They are completely unknown to people who don't listen to their type of music.

-actors/other celeberties that are huge in hollywood, but in other parts of the world, are completely unknown and irrelevant.

-a word, trend, style, etc that teenagers seem to be completely obsessed and involved in, but is to no importance or even known to the older crowd.

Dictionary example:

"In school he was a big fish in a little pond, but once he moved to the city he was just another struggling actor."
