The numbers are 24 and 26

Explanation:

  • Step 1: Let the integers be x and (x+2). Here the smaller integer is x and the larger integer is x + 2.

Given that 4x = 18 + 3(x + 2)

⇒ 4x = 18 + 3x + 6

⇒ 4x = 24 + 3x

⇒ x = 24 and x + 2 = 26
