Sara is wrapping a gift box with dimensions 10 inches by 14 inches by 5 inches with wrapping paper. What is the least amount of wrapping paper she will need to cover the gift box without any overlap?

700 inches cubed because it’s a volume question I think so 10x14x5

To do this we just have to find the surface area of the box

The formula would be

SA=2lw+2lh+2wh

so we can assign these dimensions to a value

l: 10

w: 14

h: 5

and plug our values in

SA=2(10)(14)+2(10)(5)+2(14)(5)

and simplify

SA=2(140)+2(50)+2(70)

SA=280+100+140

SA= 520
