We have equal ratios

3:6:7 = 4.5:9:k

so a scale factor of 4.5/3 = 9/6 = 3/2

So k = (3/2) 7 = 21/2

Answer:

k=10.5

Explanation:

Using proportions of similar triangles, we will take proportion between any two sides of the two similar triangles.

3/4.5=7/k

We cross multiply

3×k=4.5×7

3k=31.5

Dividing both sides by 3

k=10.5
