Given:

Diameter of cylinder = 32 in

Height of cylinder = 14 in

To find:

Surface area of cylinder

Solution:

Radius = 32 ÷ 2 = 16 in

The value of π = 3.14

Surface area of cylinder formula:


SA=2 \pi r^(2)+2 \pi r h


=2 * 3.14 * 16^(2)+2* 3.14 * 16 * 14


=1607.68+1406.72


=3014.4

Surface area of cylinder is 3014.4 square inches.
