The areas of two similar polygons are in the ratio 36:16. Find the area of the corresponding sides.

Answer:

3:2

Explanation:

ratio of areas = (ratio of sides)²

36/16 = (ratio of sides)²

Square root both sides

ratio of sides = 6/4

6/4 = 3/2

Ratio of sides is

6 : 4

Or

3 : 2
