My checkerboard is 16 inches long by 16 inches wide. There are 64 playing

squares on the board. What is the area of each playing square on the board?

I’m not too sure but i think The area of one is 4 inches. There are 8 squares on each side, so when finding the area of the board, you get 64. The checkerboard is 16 inches long, and there are 8 squares, so it is approximately 2 inches long. To find area, you multiply length by width. Since they are squares, it would be 2*2, which leads you to the answer of 4. Hope this helps!
