you have to find the value of each side;

When the question said it is similar,means that either the image is being enlarged or reduced in size

It is given that if the side is 4 in the smaller octagen,the side will be 28 in the larger octagon

Here you can make a ratio and do propotion like what i did.

After finding all value of the sides,add it all up and you can find the perimeter for the larger octagon

So we see that the ratio between the two octagons is 7:1, since 28/4=7 so what we do next is multiply the values of the smaller octagon by 7. But that’s the long way. There’s actually a shortcut by multiplying the perimeter of the smaller octagon, 34, by 7. This in turn equals 238.
