A quadrilateral has two angles that measure 210° and 40°. The other two angles are in a ratio of 3:8. What are the measures of those two angles?

210+40 = 250

360-250 =110

Explanation:

Given

1st angle = 210° 2nd angle = 40°

Let the two other angles be 3x and 8x

Then

210° + 40° + 3x + 8x = 360° <being sum of angles of quadrilateral >

250° + 11x =360°

11x = 360° - 250°

11x = 110°

Therefore x = 10°

3x = 3 * 10° = 30°

8x = 8* 10° = 80°
