Answer: see picture at the bottom

Explanation:

To get the third blank, you know that 9*6=54, so take the last digit (4) and put that in the third blank = 4

Then x * 6 = 144

x = 19, so the first blank is 1

then a number times 9 has a last digit of 6, and you know that 9 * 4 = 36, so the second blank is 4

19 * 4 = 76 so the fourth blank is 7

1 + 6 = 7 so the sixth blank is 7

1 + 7 = 8 so the fifth blank is 8

on the second problem

4 * 3 = 12 so the third blank is 2

102/4 = 34 so the first blank is 3

a number times 4 has a last digit of 8 and we know that 4 * 2 = 8 so the second blank is 2

2 * 34 = 68 so the fourth blank is 6

1 + 6 = 7 so the fifth blank is 7

0 + 8 = 8 so the sixth blank is 8

Answer: see below

Explanation:

a 9 19

b 6 = 46

1 1 c 1 1 4

d 6 76

e f 4 8 7 4

c is easy to find because 6 x 9 = 54 --> c = 4

6a + 5 (carried over from the ones place) = 11 --> a = 1

f is easy to find because we just add 6 + 1 --> f = 7

9b ends in 6 and 9 x 4 = 36 --> b = 4

b(a) + 3 (carried over from the ones place) = d --> 4(1) + 3 --> d = 7

d + 1 = e --> 7 + 1 --> e = 8

*************************************************************

Similar pattern for the second question

a 4 34

b 3 = 23

1 0 c 1 0 2

d 8 6 8

e f 2 7 8 2
