Answer:

Pool B has greater circumference.

Explanation:

Given:

Pool A has a radius of 14 feet.

Pool B has a diameter of 8.72 meters.

Question asked:

Which pool has a greater circumference ?

Solution:

First of all we will find circumference of each circular pool:-

Pool A

Circumference\ of\ circle=2\pi r

=2*(22)/(7) *14\\\\ =(616)/(7) =88\ feet

Convert it into meter:

1 feet = 0.0305 meter

88 feet = 0.0305
* 88 = 26.84 meters

Circumference of Pool A = 26.84 meters

Pool B

Diameter = 8.72 meters

Radius=(diameter)/(2)

=(8.72)/(2) \\\\ =4.36\ meters

Circumference\ of\ circle=2\pi r

=2*(22)/(7) *4.36\\ \\ =(191.84)/(7) \\ \\ =27.4057\ meters

Circumference of Pool B = 27.41 meters

We found that Circumference of Pool A is 26.84 meters while Circumference of Pool B is 27.41 meters.

Conclusion:

Therefore, Pool B has greater circumference.

Answer:

Circumference of Pool b is greater than Circumference of pool a.

Explanation:

Given:

Radius of Pool a = 14 ft

Diameter of pool b = 8.72 m

We need to find which pool has greater circumference.

Solution:

For pool a:

Radius of Pool a = 14 ft

Now we know that;

1 foot = 0.305 m

14 foot = Number of meters in 14 ft.

By Using Unitary method we get;

Number of meters in 14 ft = 4.27 m

Radius of Pool a = 4.27.

Now we know that;

Circumference of Pool is given by 2 times π times radius or π times diameter.

framing in equation form we get;

Circumference of Pool a =
2\pi * 4.27 =21.8156

Rounding to nearest hundredth we get;

Circumference of Pool a = 21.82 m

For Pool b:

diameter of pool b = 8.72 m

Now we know that;

Circumference of Pool is given by 2 times π times radius or π times diameter.

framing in equation form we get;

Circumference of Pool b =
\pi * 8.72 = 27.3808

Rounding to nearest hundredth we get;

Circumference of Pool b = 27.38 m

From above we can say that;

Circumference of Pool b is greater than Circumference of pool a.
