The length of the walking path = the perimeter of the rectangle

As shown, The rectangle has length of 10 units and width of 5 units

So, the perimeter = 2 ( length + width ) = 2(10+5) = 2 + 15 = 30 units

Given: 1 unit² = (1/4) mile²

so, 1 unit = √(1/4) mile = (1/2) mile

so, the the walking path = 30 units = 30 * 1/2 = 15 miles

So, the length of waking path = 15 miles
