In the triangle shown, AC=BC and AB=4√2 how long are each of the legs

Is the answer 4? Or am I doing something wrong.

If we're to assume this is a right triangle, we can plug these numbers into the pythagorean theorem.

x^2 + x^2 = (4sqrt(2))^2

2x^2 = 32. Divide each side by 2.

x^2 = 16. Take the square root of each side.

x = 4, -4. But side lengths cannot be negative so,

x = 4.
