X+5y=4
3x+10y=10 use elimination to solve this method

x=2 y=2/5 *multiply x+5y=4 by -2 all through out the equation then it should be -2x-10y=-8 the positive 10 and negative 10 will then cancel leaving you with -2x=-8 and 3x=10 do the math on both sides and you’ll get x=2 then plug that into either of the original equations in this case i used the one that i didn’t change which was 3x+10y=10 and 3•2=6 subtract 6 from both sides then you’ll be left with 10y=4 then dived both sides by 10 leaving you with 4/10 and you don’t want a decimal so just leave that as it is in simplest form which is 2/5 so that’s y=2/5*
