Answer = 26.39

Explanation:

To find the perimeter, you want to find the length of each of the sides and add them together

OR - the easiest to find, the distance is 3 units (3-0)

RY - you want to count the horizontal and vertical distance between these two points. vertically, there is a distance of 4, and horizontally there is a distance of 3. you want to use these numbers with the Pythagorean theorem where a^2 + b^2 = c^2. the vertical distance of 4 is a, the horizontal distance of 3 is b, so plug these in and solve for c

3^2 + 4^2 = c^2

9 + 16 = c^2

25 = c^2

RY = c = 5

now you want to repeat these steps for the other two sides

YP - a = 4, b = 9

a^2 + b^2 = YP^2

16 + 81 = YP^2

97 = YP^2

YP ≃ 9.8488578

PO - a = 8, b = 3

a^2 + b^2 = PO^2

64 + 9 = 73 = PO^2

PO ≃ 8.5440037

Now add them all up and round

OR + RY + YP + PO = 3 + 5 + 9.8488578 + 8.5440037

= 26.39
