1) since 5 ft was filled in 25 hours, you could say that 1ft was filled every 5 hours

2) so now we have 1ft in 5 hours

3) we can convert feet to inches. Since 1ft=12 inches, we could replace 1 ft with 12 inches.

4) Finally, divide by 5 to get 1 hour from one side

5) 12/5 inches = 1hour

so the pool is being filled at a rate of 12/5 inches or 2 2/5 or 2.4 inches every hour
