sinθ = Perpendicular/Hypotenuse

From figure 1: when angle is 60°

perpendicular = 'h' and Hypotenuse=6m

by putting in the formula

sin 60°= h/6 (rearranging for h)

h=6 sin60°

h= 5.196m

From figure 2: when angle is 70°

perpendicular = 'h' and Hypotenuse=6m

by putting in the formula

sin 70°= h/6 (rearranging for h)

h=6 sin70°

h= 5.638m

therefore, h= 5.638-5.196=> 0.442m

the ladder will reach 0.442m much higher at the 70° angle
