Andre is solving the equation 4(x+3/2)=7.He says," I can subtract three over two from each side to get 4X equals 11 over two and then divide by four to get X equals 11/8 Cameron says I think you made a mistake

use PEMDAS first.

P=parenthesis

E=exponents

M= multiplication

D= division

A= addition

S=subtraction

you see a parenthesis so you have to distribute 4 to the variables in the parenthesis. 4 time x is 4x. 4 times 3/2 is 6. after distribution you get 4x+6=7. subtract 6 on both sides. 4x=1. divide 4 on both sides. x=1/4.
