Lets make a proportion with the information we know. For every 1000, 8 of tax is paid.
8/1000
Then, use the rest of the information to make another proportion. We don’t know how much the tax is, so let’s call it x.
x/150000
Set the equations equal to each other
8/1000=x/150000
Cross multiply
1000x=1200000
Divide by 1000 on both sides
x=1200
